Disinfection Cap
Disinfection caps for female luer lock are utilized to clean a used catheter hub and it is left inside the cap while the hub is not used. It keeps the needless connector clean by creating a physical and chemical barrier between the connector and potential contaminants. It is composed of shell and polyurethane sponge soaked with 70% isopropanol (0.15g ~ 0.23g).
FEATURES
1. Passive Disinfection: Creates a physical barrier over the connector while simultaneously maintaining a sterile environment through a continuously released disinfectant 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).
2. Built in 70% isopropanol sponge for continuous disinfection protection for 7 days (Maximum “wear time”) and more thorough disinfection.
3. Reduce CLABSI Risk, contributes to the prevention of Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSIs) and other catheter-related infections, and effectively save medical expenses.
4. Fit securely onto the external threads of a standard female luer lock connector (ISO 80369 standard) of various brands of IV lines, needleless access ports and many syringe tips.
